Why does my PC only connect to monitors after several restarts?

I've been struggling with my PC for the last couple of weeks. I bought it about a month and a half ago, and lately, it fails to connect to my monitors properly. The PC starts up and even boots into the Windows login screen, but after about 5-10 seconds, the screens go black, and they never display anything again. The strange thing is that if I power it off and on repeatedly, eventually, it works. This has been my workaround for the last two weeks, and it's extremely frustrating! I've tried reseating the CPU, switching my HDMI and DisplayPort connections to the motherboard instead of the GPU, and reseating my RAM multiple times. I've also run a memory test, updated drivers, and even updated my BIOS. Here's the specs: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, MSI Ventus Geforce RTX 5070Ti 16GB, G.SKILL X5 32GB RAM, CORSAIR RM750e PSU, and MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI AM5 motherboard. Does anyone have ideas on what could be going on?

From my past experiences, it can definitely be a power issue. I've had blackouts while gaming because of a failing PSU. Have you tried disabling XMP in the BIOS? That can sometimes help. If that doesn't work, run your PC with just one RAM stick and mix them up to check for a faulty module.

Check out the Event Viewer for any critical errors when your monitor goes black. Those logs can sometimes give clear indications of what went wrong. If you find 'unexpected shutdown' errors, that could point toward a power issue.

First off, have you checked your HDMI or DisplayPort cables? I've had issues with faulty cables causing similar problems. If those are good, maybe try a different monitor if you can borrow one from a friend. It might help to boot into safe mode too; that way, you can remove old drivers. If that doesn't help, look at the PSU. It's probably worth checking out anything that could be loose as well.

It sounds like a PSU issue. A 750W supply should usually be enough, but if it's faulty, that could be causing the black screens. Also, you might want to rebuild your whole PC just to make sure everything is properly seated. Sometimes, a tight connection can lead to issues with power. It might be a bit tedious, but it could fix the problem in the long run.

As a last resort, when your screen goes black, try unplugging the monitor and then pressing its power button a few times before plugging it back in. Sometimes that can reset the connection.
