What GPU should I choose for gaming and productivity mixes?

I'm working on my first PC build and I have a solid setup with an ASRock B860 Lightning WiFi motherboard, 32GB of 6000MHz CL30 RAM, and a tower cooler. I've decided to go with the Intel Ultra 7 265 CPU, but I'm uncertain about the GPU. I'm torn between the 5060Ti 16GB and the 5070, though I'm leaning more toward the 5070. I'm open to other suggestions too.

Currently, I don't have specific games in mind since my laptop struggles with FPS, but I want a GPU that can handle gaming at 1080p and 1440p, as I don't have a 4K monitor yet.

On the productivity side, I use Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve and I'm also starting some software engineering studies, which means I need something capable of handling compiling and AI development.

While I don't have a strict budget in mind, I want to avoid overspending and going for overkill, especially as I'm beginning university.

You might want to consider your budget, but since you have most of your main components, the 5070 could be a solid choice. It strikes a good balance for both gaming and productivity tasks. If you're looking at the 5070Ti, it’s definitely more powerful, but if it’s significantly above your price range, the 5070 could be enough for your needs.

I don’t have a hard budget, but the 5070Ti is about AUD$400 more than the 5070. Do you think the extra power of the 5070Ti is truly necessary? I’m not sure if the 5070 will limit my experience enough to justify spending more.
