Help with BSOD When Starting Hoyo-Verse Games

Hey everyone! I've been getting a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) right when I try to launch any Hoyo-Verse games, including Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero. The error shows "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION" and this happens every time without fail. Occasionally, it will launch successfully, but I haven't been able to pinpoint a reason why. My system specs are as follows: CPU - 9800X3D, RAM - LEXAR 32GB ARES DDR5 6000MT C30 (with XMP turned off), GPU - PNY 5080, and I'm running on an MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WF motherboard with Windows 10.

I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps: I ran MemTest86 and everything passed, installed older drivers (currently using version 572.83), uninstalled previous drivers, ran SFC and DISM for system checks (both passed), checked disk errors with chkdsk, and repaired the game files, which showed no issues.

I'm at my wit's end here and would appreciate any help or insights!

You're experiencing crashes that seem related to breakpoints, which usually point to a malfunctioning CPU. I recommend updating your BIOS since it sounds a bit outdated. Also, keep an eye on your CPU temperatures to ensure cooling is adequate. You can use OCCT for stress testing. If breakpoints are triggering without you being a developer, it's often a sign of CPU issues, so pay close attention there!

Just updated the BIOS and chipset drivers. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if it's fixed!

First off, it’s crucial to get those dump files for a proper analysis of the BSOD. If you can boot Windows normally or into Safe Mode, check the C:WindowsMinidump directory for any files. If you find any, zip the folder and upload them to a file-sharing site like MediaFire or Catbox. Having more than one dump file is ideal, as it helps to get a clearer picture of the issue. If you only have one, you might want to follow some guides on adjusting the dump settings to ensure you capture more in the future.
