Why Am I Getting ‘Unusual Traffic’ Alerts on Google Searches After My iOS Update?

I updated my iPhone to version 26.2, and ever since then, I've been experiencing messages saying there's unusual traffic detected on every Google search I perform. I don't have Private Relay since I don't subscribe to iCloud, and I'm not using a VPN—I'm just on my regular home Wi-Fi. The issue only happens when I'm using Wi-Fi, as my searches work fine over cellular data. My family members on the same network are not facing this problem—it's just me. I'm worried about potential consequences like getting banned from Google because of this warning. I've already tried restarting my phone, but the problem persists. Any idea what could be causing this or how I can fix it?

Does anyone else in your household who uses the same Wi-Fi network have similar issues with Google?

No, it's just me. They've mentioned they've never encountered this before.

Have you tried force restarting your phone? If you have another device, connect it to the same network and see if the problem persists there as well. If it does, the issue might be with your Wi-Fi, and you could consider factory resetting your router. Otherwise, you might want to reset your phone's network settings or try using a different browser like Safari or Chrome. If none of that works, you could give a VPN a shot.

Make sure your location settings are accurate when you perform a search. If they seem off, try refreshing the settings. You might need to do this for a few weeks until Google drops the unusual traffic check. It's worth a try!
