I'm trying to find out if the B850 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard is adequate for the 9800X3D or even the 9950X3D processors. I've heard mixed opinions about the quality of its VRM module and whether it can supply enough power to these X3D chips. What do you all think? Should I consider upgrading to a B850 Tomahawk or an X870 motherboard instead?

Honestly, anyone worrying about the VRM quality for the 9800X3D probably doesn't know what they're talking about. This CPU doesn't need a ton of power, so trust me, even if the B850 Gaming Plus WiFi had really poor power delivery (which it doesn't), it would still manage just fine. It can definitely handle the 9950X3D as well. Just make sure to grab the non-6E version of the B850; it's a much better choice than the 6E model. You'd be perfectly happy with this one!
A lot of what you hear is just marketing hype. Seriously, most motherboards are good enough for what people actually need. It’s not just about having the absolute best components; it's about getting what fits your usage. If you need more PCIe lanes or USB4 features, then sure, consider the X870. But if the B850 has what you need, it’ll do a great job!
VRM quality varies by motherboard model, not chipset. Plus, the X3D CPUs are designed to be power efficient, so you won’t need a super high-end board to make it work.

Just so you know, the X870 chipset isn't really related to VRM performance; it's more about connectivity options. The B850 should work just fine with either CPU, no worries there!
Haha, maybe they’re confusing it with B650 or A620 boards, which can have issues. Not this one though!
