I'm stuck with an old iPhone 6 because I've forgotten the passcode. I'm really hoping to unlock it without erasing my data since it's still linked to my Apple account. Is there any way to do this?

Once the iPhone gets disabled, you're limited in your options. There are tools for professionals that can bypass the passcode, but those are usually not accessible to the public. If it's currently disabled and not accepting passcode attempts, your best bet might be to reset it, even though that means losing data. Make sure to back up anything you can, if possible.
Unfortunately, it's tough for average users to unlock a device without a passcode, especially if it's disabled. Law enforcement and forensic services might have the tools to crack it, but they aren't options for most people. If your phone is currently locked out, it's likely going to require resetting the device to regain access. Just curious, is it still allowing you to make passcode attempts, or is it already disabled?
