Why is my PC not getting internet through Ethernet even though it shows a connection?

My PC has suddenly lost its internet connection via Ethernet, while the WiFi from the same router still works perfectly. Although the Ethernet connection appears in the network list, it displays "no internet". I've tested the Ethernet cable on an old laptop, and that works fine, so I'm guessing the issue is with my current PC. The Ethernet port lights are blinking normally. I've already tried updating everything and rebooting several times, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the network drivers. I've executed all the necessary commands in the command prompt to flush, reset, and renew the IP configuration. Pinging the default gateway and 8.8.8.8 returns successful results. Does anyone have other suggestions for what could be going wrong? It feels like I've covered all bases!

It sounds like you might have some unusual routing or static IP settings. Try posting the full output of "ipconfig /all" and also the results of running "route print". That might give us a clearer picture of any misconfigurations.

Turns out there was another Ethernet cable connected to the router for a different setup my dad was working on. Once I unplugged that cable and did an IP release and renew, my connection started working again!
