Looking for an E-Reader That Supports Note-Taking

I'm on the hunt for an e-reader that also allows me to take notes, ideally with the option to use a stylus or pen. While I know an iPad would definitely work for this, I'm curious about other, more budget-friendly alternatives. I need something that lets me easily transfer my notes to email, allows for writing directly on e-books or in a note-taking app, and has a good-sized screen. Any recommendations?

The iPad is definitely a solid choice if you're looking for versatility, but if you're just focused on note-taking, I'd suggest checking out the ReMarkable. It's designed specifically for that purpose and could fit your needs well.

If you're open to it, the Kindle Scribe is another option. It's priced around $400 and gives you a nice e-ink experience for writing, though it can feel a bit soft. Also, the Boox Note or Go series might be what you're looking for—they’re generally cheaper and they let you write directly on books and notebooks, plus exporting is a breeze!

Thanks for the suggestions! I might end up going with the iPad since I don't want to stretch my budget too much. Do you think getting an older model would still be effective?
