I was just using my iPad when it unexpectedly shut down. Now it says it's in recovery mode and prompts me to connect it to my phone with a code. After entering the code and requesting an update, my iPad is completely off except for an icon showing an update merging with a phone. I'm at a loss for what to do next, and Apple support isn't available. My iPad is only two years old, so I'm hoping there's a fix. Any suggestions?

Plug your iPad into a computer and try to restore it from there. It might be that the update got corrupted, so connecting to iTunes or Finder could help resolve the issue. Just make sure your computer is updated too before you do that!
Recovery mode can be tricky! Try doing a force reboot on your iPad. Sometimes that can help clear out any glitches, even if it seems like it's stuck. Just hold down the home button and the power button together until the Apple logo appears. If that doesn’t work, we might be looking at a more complicated issue.
Oh no! What if force reboot doesn’t work? Should I just take it to Apple then?
Thanks a ton! I was really worried. You saved my day!
