I was typing on my laptop without any issues, but after taking a break, my keyboard started behaving strangely. The spacebar adds a space but also opens the right-click menu, and other keys are acting weird too. For example, pressing 'c' types ',c', 'k' produces 'k7', and 'i' results in 'i*'. I'm not sure what I might have accidentally done to mess with my keyboard settings. The only change recently was uninstalling and reinstalling Copilot, and although my keyboard worked briefly after that, it quickly reverted to the odd behavior. I don't think it's a hardware problem since no keys are stuck. I also tested an external keyboard and that worked fine.

It sounds like your keyboard settings might be off. Check your keyboard language and region settings. Sometimes the number lock or some key combinations can lock certain functions on your keyboard, causing those weird outputs. It's worth double-checking if any number lock keys are active since that can affect the typing.
Have you considered that a spill might have happened? Even a tiny amount of liquid can cause a short circuit in the keyboard's circuitry. The keyboard works with a grid system, so if there's a short, you might be activating multiple keys at once without realizing it. Just a thought, but cleaning might not fix it if that's the case.
I haven't spilled anything on it. I cleaned it thoroughly, but it still didn’t help. Unless there’s an underlying issue inside, I really don’t think it’s hardware-related.

I checked the language settings, and they’re unchanged. I also don't have any number keys on my keyboard. I tried toggling num lock, but it didn’t solve the issue.
