Why is my CPU overheating when gaming?

I recently built a gaming rig and I'm facing some serious CPU overheating issues. Here are my specs: Intel i9 14900k unlocked, Asus TUF Z790 Plus WiFi motherboard, 64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM, a Corsair H100x RGB Elite AIO cooler, GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, and a Corsair RM850e PSU within a Corsair 4000D Airflow case equipped with 4 Corsair ML120 Pro LED case fans. I can't share pictures, but when I try to play Call of Duty on medium to low settings, my CPU temps spike between 85 to 100 degrees Celsius, and the noise from my PC is overwhelming. Other games also show high temps around 80 to 92 degrees Celsius, with CPU usage occasionally spiking even if it's not on Call of Duty. My BIOS is updated, but I'm unsure if I need to tweak settings in it. Someone suggested adjusting the fan curve, but I'm not sure how that works for my setup. I also just got a CPU contact frame and enabled AI cooling through Armoury Crate, which has helped with the noise but not with the temperatures. Any help would be appreciated!

First, make sure your cooler is properly seated on the CPU and has good mounting pressure—this can greatly affect performance. Also, consider reassessing your build; having an unbalanced configuration can lead to inefficiencies. Speaking of balance, do you have enough cooling in your case? More fans might help.

Yeah, I was worried about that. Anything specific you'd change in my build?
