I'm considering upgrading my GPU and I'm trying to figure out whether I should go for the 9070 XT or the 5070 Ti, as they're both around the same price lately. I typically check prices at places like Best Buy and Microcenter, and I've noticed that they hover around $800 for the higher-end options. Should I wait for the 5070 Ti to come back in stock, or is it better to get the 9070 XT now? Also, if there are better purchase options, I'd love to hear them! My current build includes a 3060 with 8GB, a Ryzen 5 7600X3D, and 32GB of RAM on a B850 motherboard.

Interesting point. I found the 5070 Ti at Best Buy for about $870, but the cheapest 9070 XT is around $650 at Microcenter. Honestly, I'd suggest just picking up the cheapest model of either for the best deal since availability can vary widely based on location.
If your current 3060 8GB meets your needs, you might hold off until the next 60 series releases. The 50 series isn’t a huge leap from the 40 series, and with all the inflated prices, it might not be worth it to buy them now.
From what I've seen, prices for both cards are climbing. In my area, the 5070 Ti is either getting hard to find or is already nearing 5080 prices. The 9070 XT is slightly over MSRP, but I'd personally recommend that over the 5070 Ti unless the price difference is minor. Also, consider the non-XT 9070; it's very competitive and a solid upgrade from your current GPU.
What model of the 9070 XT do you have? I checked Microcenter and saw high-end ones priced around $840, which is why I’m hesitant to jump on it just yet.
Nvidia's been reducing the supply of the 5070 Ti, which is likely going to keep pushing prices up. Right now, you can find the cheapest 5070 Ti for about $900, so if you're looking for a solid upgrade, I'd say go for the 9070 XT. If you can snag a 5070 Ti for a good deal later, you could still return the 9070 XT.
I’ve seen some MSI 5070 Ti models at my local Microcenter, but I heard they have cooling issues. Do you think I should go for a high-end 9070 XT instead?
The 9070 XT is really solid—it's just a bit behind the 5070 Ti in performance. The 5070 Ti might give you better ray tracing and DLSS, but if you're okay with slightly less power, the AMD card is a good bet.
I came across a representative from Asus who mentioned issues getting 5070 Ti GPU dies manufactured, which may explain why those cards are getting pricey—I've seen the 9070 XT for about $700, but the 5070 Ti is already hovering around $900.
I’ve heard that the 5070 Ti is on its way to being discontinued. At this point, the 9070 XT might be your best bet if you’re looking for longevity. Nvidia's been cutting back on their card lineup, which could affect future support.

The prices seem off around my area. The 5070 Ti is from $869 to $1000, while the 9070 XT starts around $773 and the high-end ones are climbing towards $840. If you know of better deals, I’d love to hear!
