My girlfriend and her mother are currently sharing an Apple ID on their iPhones, which is leading to a host of problems. For instance, my girlfriend's social media app suggestions are all mixed up due to her mom's activity, and when I call her, her mom's phone also rings. I get that the best fix would be for her to set up her own Apple ID, but that's not feasible right now. Are there any alternative solutions to address these issues? Thanks for your help!

Real talk, there are no great alternatives to sharing an Apple ID. Separate accounts are really the only way to solve these kinds of problems for good. It’s a serious option, and honestly, it’s the only way to avoid these mix-ups in the future.
The main issue is that Apple IDs shouldn't be shared, plain and simple. It leads to all these weird glitches and crossovers. Separating the accounts is definitely the best fix, and it’s something she can absolutely do right now!
Honestly, sharing Apple accounts is just a bad idea. There’s really no advantage to it, and it just creates unnecessary complications. Each person should have their own Apple ID to avoid these issues. If creating separate accounts isn't on the table, good luck navigating this mess!
Just don’t share Apple IDs, really. That’s the golden rule here!
Here's a tip: you can adjust the message settings on each device. Go to "Messages" in the settings, find "Send & Receive Messages At..." and make sure to uncheck her mom’s details on your girlfriend’s phone. This way, only messages to her phone number will come through. But honestly, separating the accounts is the best way to stop these issues altogether.
I totally agree! Apple even says it's not meant to be shared. It’s definitely time to consider separate accounts.
