I'm building my first PC and I'm torn between the 7700XT and the 9060XT. The 7700XT is said to offer 20-30% more raw performance, while the 9060XT comes with 16GB of VRAM, which seems more future-proof. I'm mainly looking for a setup that can handle AAA games and last me at least 6-7 years. I'm not really concerned about ray tracing, so I could use some help deciding which GPU to go with.

I'd vote for the 9060XT 16GB too. It's based on newer architecture which makes it more efficient and it’s much more prepared for upcoming games thanks to features like FSR 4. That extra memory is gonna help a lot in the long run!

If you're okay with buying used, I'd suggest checking out the 7800XT as an option—it’s faster than both the 7700XT and the 9060XT while still giving you good VRAM support. It just might offer better performance overall if you can find it at a reasonable price.
Totally agree! I went for the 9060XT myself, and it's been fantastic. I appreciate the additional VRAM for more demanding titles.
