I'm looking to upgrade my GPU and I'm on a tight budget. I'm planning to play games at 1080p, and I don't intend to get a better monitor in the future. Here are my options for the RTX 5060 models:

* Palit RTX 5060 INFINITY 2 OC 8GB for $349
* MSI RTX 5060 8GB SHADOW 2X OC for $365
* Gigabyte RTX 5060 8GB Windforce for $363

I'm not considering the RTX 5060 Ti since those are about $100 more with 16GB versions. Which one should I go for?

Honestly, I think those prices are a bit steep for the 5060. If you can stretch your budget a little, look into the 9060 XT for $399. It has 16GB of VRAM, which is much better for future-proofing, plus it performs stronger overall in both regular and ray-tracing gaming.

Yeah, if you're willing to spend a bit more, the 9060 XT would definitely give you better performance. But for pure budget, the 5060 isn't bad for now.

Remember, any of those will handle 1080p gaming fine. If the MSI Gaming X is available, that's a solid choice, but imagine buying an 8GB GPU in 2026! Might not be enough long-term, but for now, it should do the job fine.

Yeah, I hear you there. I do worry about future-proofing, but for now, I'm just focused on getting something that works well without breaking the bank.

Out of those, I'd suggest you either go with the MSI or Gigabyte models. They tend to have better cooling and performance, which is great for 1080p gaming. You might get a bit more longevity out of them!

I have the MSI Ventus 3X, and it's been doing great for me! At the end of the day, they're all pretty similar. Just pick the least expensive or whichever one looks better to you.
