Why is my computer only recognizing 2 sticks of RAM?

I've been trying to add extra RAM sticks to my setup, but my BIOS and Task Manager only acknowledge the two sticks I initially installed. Interestingly, CPU-Z can detect all the RAM. I've switched the slots around and tested each stick one at a time, but nothing seems to work. I have a ROG STRIX X299-E GAMING motherboard, and I'm using HyperX and Corsair RAM sticks. Any ideas on what might be causing this issue?

It sounds like your CPU might only support dual-channel memory configurations, which could explain why not all of your slots are recognized. What CPU are you using?

I'm using an Intel i7 9800X.

How much RAM are each of your sticks? Just checking because if they're all 16 GB, the slots need to be in the correct configuration. Did you try placing all of them in the first four slots on the left of the CPU? If not, that could help!

Yes, all sticks are 16 GB each, and I tried every combination. The working ones are currently on the right side of the CPU.
