I have an Apple account that I haven't used in over 12 years, and recently I've been receiving daily emails about unauthorized attempts to answer my security questions. I was able to reset my password, but I'm having trouble resetting the security questions because it says I don't have enough information. I can't remember the exact answers to the questions, and with the constant failed attempts from whoever is trying to access my account, I'm concerned. I've contacted Apple support multiple times, but they insist that I need to answer the security questions to regain access, after which I can request to delete the account. Is there anything else I can do or any additional resources I can reach out to for help? Ignoring the alerts and blocking them is an option, but it's frustrating.

If your Apple account doesn't have two-factor authentication, it relies on security questions for protection. Unfortunately, if you can't remember those questions and don’t have access to a recovery email, you're caught in a bit of a bind. You can log in, but changing your account credentials would be impossible without the answers.

I see, but how do I find out if I even have a recovery email linked to my account?
