I'm in the process of building a PC and I have a GPU that requires two 8-pin PCIe connectors. My power supply unit (PSU) only has one PCIe cable with a single 6+2 connector. However, it also has a 12v-6x2 cable that features two 6+2 connectors. I'm uncertain whether I should use both cables to connect one of the 6+2 connectors from each into the GPU. Alternatively, is it safe to go with just the 12v-6x2 cable and plug both of its 6+2 connectors into the GPU? I'm unsure if powering my GPU with different types of cables at once is safe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It's crucial to connect the cables correctly to the PSU and GPU first. You mentioned that you have a PSU with a model like the Asus TUF Gaming 750G, which should have labels on the connectors to guide you. I recommend using the 12v-6x2 cable with both connectors plugged into your GPU. It's generally safer to stick with a single cable type for power delivery.
Thanks for clarifying! I was worried about mixing cables but using just one type makes sense.
