I'm currently at a hotel in Middle Tennessee due to a snowstorm and I brought my gaming PC with me since I'm stuck here for work. Tomorrow, I need to check out and head straight to work, which means I have to pack my PC. I'm concerned about condensation and the cold temperatures, and I'm debating whether to unplug the GPU and RAM and keep them in my duffle bag (which is very full already). Alternatively, I could put them in my glovebox, but it will be freezing. Another thought I had was to wrap my PC in my jackets while it sits in my car. I'm looking for any tips to safely transport my PC in these conditions. Thanks for any help!

Lay your PC flat and it should be fine. The components are designed to handle a range of temperatures, so as long as you keep it stable during transport, you won’t have any issues.
The chips are tested in worse conditions during shipping, so you’re good. It might be a wise move to unplug the GPU just in case there's any movement that could damage it, but overall, the cold shouldn’t be a problem for the parts themselves.
Thanks! I plan to let it sit unplugged for a while once I bring it inside. I was stressing a bit since I already left it in the car the other day.
If you're worried about movement during the drive, lay the PC flat and pack some towels or clothes around the GPU and other components to cushion them. You should be fine with that method, just watch out for any excessive temperature fluctuations.
I’ll do that! I just wanted to make sure the cold itself wouldn’t mess with the electronics since I know condensation can be an issue.

Should I remove the side panel? I saw that suggestion online and I'm not sure if it makes a difference because of the cold.
