Help! My Pictures Folder Disappeared from Quick Access on Windows 11

I'm using a Lenovo Legion Slim 7 with Windows 11 and have encountered an issue where my Pictures folder has vanished from Quick Access. This has happened before, and my wallpaper changed to a solid color, but it eventually fixed itself. However, now the Pictures folder in C:Users(name) appears, but it only contains empty folders and no actual pictures. I tried searching for my images, but nothing comes up. The only recent change was downloading some Sega games from Steam, which I don't think could be harmful. I'm at a loss and would really like to retrieve my lost pictures. Has anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas on what might be causing this?

Just a heads up – if you've made any changes to your BIOS or disk settings, it could lead to data issues. Always ensure you have solid backups before tweaking anything in your system. If you're worried about data loss, trying to recover from backups could be a good idea!

It sounds like you might want to check if OneDrive is enabled on your laptop. Sometimes, it automatically moves your pictures there. Try navigating to C:Users(your name)OneDrivePictures and see if your photos are hiding there. If you disabled it recently, that could explain the missing pictures too.

Also, make sure to run a full antivirus scan just to be safe. Malware can sometimes mess with files and folders. Better safe than sorry when it comes to your pictures!
