I'm looking to upgrade my setup and want to know which AM4 CPU would be best to pair with a 9070XT. Originally, I was planning to go for an AM5 setup, but due to the high prices of DDR5 RAM, I've decided to stick with the DDR4 that I already have. Currently, I'm upgrading from an i7 9700, so I'm hoping to find something that won't bottleneck my new GPU.

If you're looking for a solid choice, I'd recommend any of the X3D chips if you can find them at a good price. I've also seen great options with the 5700X (make sure it’s the right model and not the non-X version), and the 5800X or 5800XT. Just pick whatever's cheapest that meets your needs!
I totally relate! I hunted down a 5800X for weeks until I snagged one on eBay for $138, which was a steal. eBay's got buyer protection too, so it's pretty safe. Facebook Marketplace can work, but you definitely want to vet the seller.
