I've been using an Intel i9 11900K processor with my Aorus Z590 Ultra motherboard for quite a while without any issues. Recently, though, I keep getting an "unsupported Processor 0x5D" error every time I try to boot my PC. This error causes the system to restart, leading to a frustrating cycle that can take up to half an hour before it finally starts up properly. I've already tried resetting the BIOS, but that didn't resolve the problem. Right now, I'm on BIOS version "F7d". Should I consider updating it? What can I do to fix this issue? Thanks for any help!

For sure, updating the BIOS should help. That tends to resolve those pesky unsupported processor loops. If it doesn’t work after the update, I suggest double-checking how well your CPU and RAM are seated, and also keeping an eye on your PSU, since problems there can also lead to booting issues.
From what I've seen, updating your BIOS should definitely be your first step. I looked up your motherboard and it seems like your current BIOS version is pretty old, almost three years! The latest updates often fix errors related to UEFI and improve overall compatibility, so it’s worth a shot. If the problem persists after that, you might want to check whether your CPU and RAM are seated properly or if there are any issues with your power supply.
Yep, you've got to update that BIOS for sure. That should take care of the unsupported processor error.
It could be a temperature issue. If your CPU heats up too quickly, it might trigger thermal throttling before the BIOS has had a chance to stabilize things. The BIOS could be throwing up that error simply because it's unsure how to handle the heat. Definitely check the cooling setup!
