I'm building my first PC and I've been hesitant to buy a graphics card for a while now. Although I bought a Ryzen 7 5800X a while back, I haven't taken the leap to get a 5070 yet because of the steep prices and being a broke college student. I mainly play free games like League, Valorant, and Fortnite, but I'm curious and want to try other games too. I've heard mixed things about potential bottlenecking issues with the 5800X and the 5070. Is this a real concern, or will it be fine?

I'm running the same combo and couldn't be happier with it. Just go for it!
You'll be fine with that setup. The bottleneck issues aren't as big of a deal as some make them out to be. Just make sure to optimize your settings based on the games you choose to play.
Your 5800X will handle the 5070 pretty well. Sure, it might bottleneck a bit at 1080p, but it’s still strong enough that you shouldn't worry. A whole new CPU would only give you maybe 20% more frames, so don't overthink it!
Every system has some sort of bottleneck, and that's totally normal. It's not going to ruin your experience; you just won't be maximizing everything perfectly.
Honestly, it's a solid combo, especially at higher resolutions. The game settings and what you're aiming for in terms of frames will matter just as much as the components themselves. Don't stress too much!

Exactly! It's all about balancing your settings too. You'll have a blast!
