Hey everyone! I recently snagged an i5-13600KF processor on sale, and I want to upgrade from my current i3-12100F setup. I'm running an Asus Prime B660M-A Wifi D4 motherboard, cooled by a Fortis 5, and my case has six fans, each at 74CFM (three 120mm fans at the front blowing in, two on top, and one 120mm fan at the rear blowing out). I'm a bit concerned about whether the i5-13600KF could potentially burn out the VRM on this motherboard. Also, do you think it can reach its full potential on this setup?

Nah, you should be fine! You can't really overclock on a B-series motherboard anyway, so no worries there. But wow, that’s a lot of fans for a 13600KF! What case do you have to manage all that airflow?
About reaching full potential, you won't be able to push a K-series CPU to the max on a B-series motherboard. They aren't built for that combo. If you're looking to do some longer rendering sessions, I'd suggest updating your BIOS, getting an LGA1700 contact frame, and capping the power limits to 125W/150W in the BIOS to keep the VRM cool during those heavy tasks.
I agree with the previous advice. Your setup should handle casual use fine, but for more demanding tasks, a solid power limit will definitely help maintain stable performance without overheating.
