Considering a Full PC Upgrade: Need Advice

I bought a prebuilt PC about four years ago and I'm ready for a complete upgrade. Currently, my specs are as follows: RTX 2060 Super 12GB, AMD Ryzen 5700G, Gigabyte B550 K DDR4 AM4 motherboard, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM (not sure which model). I've linked my potential new build, and I'm thinking about selling my old PC along with some other items to fund it. Additionally, I'm looking for recommendations for a 240Hz monitor and some budget-friendly mouse and keyboard options since I'm a bit over my budget due to the RAM shortage.

I shared my alternate build in another post, but if gaming is your main focus, you could save quite a bit by considering something like this build instead. It doesn't require CUDA cores from an Nvidia GPU, which can help lighten your expenses and still give you great performance. This way, you’ll have extra funds left over for a monitor and peripherals. You can always upgrade your CPU or GPU later when you're ready!

That alternative build looks solid! It’s perfect for gaming, especially if you're not doing any streaming or heavy content creation that needs CUDA cores. The 7800XT is a powerhouse for gaming, and you would definitely feel the upgrade from your 2060 Super. Plus, it gives you more flexibility in your budget for peripherals, which is a smart move.

Sounds great, but can you break down the main differences between this build and your original plan? I’m also leaning towards the 5070 for my setup. Thanks!

If you happen to live near a MicroCenter, you could save around $600 right off the bat! They often have great promotions on PC parts that can really help with your budget.

I wish! I saw those deals advertised, but I don’t live in the US. Do they ship internationally?
