Hey everyone, I need some help figuring out whether a zip file I received is safe to open. It's a Minecraft world download and it's over 4 million KB, which seems massive compared to my other files. The person who sent it isn't someone I know well, and I've been hesitant to unzip it since I don't know much about zip files or potential malware. Is 4.5GB a normal size for a Minecraft world download? What steps can I take to determine if this file is safe to open? Also, what precautions should I take when dealing with or deleting a file if it turns out to be malicious? Thanks for any insights you can share!

4 gigabytes isn't that unusual for a Minecraft world, especially if it's been played on a lot. Many worlds can get pretty big depending on how much has been built. Just be careful when unzipping it—if you just unzip and don't run any executables from within, you should be fine. Put it in the right Minecraft folder and see if it works!

That's good to hear! I was worried since all my other worlds are under 20MB. But if 4GB is normal, I feel a bit better.
