Is my RAM too unstable to keep?

I've got an Asus ROG STRIX B850-I motherboard paired with a Ryzen 5 7500X3D and I'm using Kingston Fury 2x16GB DDR5 6000/30 RAM. The issue is that I can't get the RAM to run at its advertised speed without encountering random restarts. The only stable setting I found is using EXPO 2 with a speed of 5600/40. Should I consider returning the RAM? Also, I've updated the BIOS to the latest version.

Most likely it's not a RAM issue. I've had experiences where the CPU made all the difference. For instance, when I was using a Ryzen 5 9600, I couldn't get my 6000 CL30 RAM to work as intended but swapping in a 7600X3D fixed everything. It’s weird how some CPUs are better suited for certain RAM speeds. You might try checking to see if your CPU supports the RAM better because a different CPU could easily solve your problem.

How can you check if it's a CPU limitation without actually swapping it out? Any tests I can run?

When you mention 'unstable,' does that mean it won't boot or just random crashes during gaming?
