My WiFi Disappeared After a Laptop Crash, Help!

After my laptop crashed and restarted, my WiFi has completely vanished. I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps like disabling and enabling the WiFi in the device manager, uninstalling the device and restarting, and even using a USB to download and install the driver. I also ran some command prompts, including 'sfc /scannow', 'dism restore health', and 'netsh winsock reset'. I'm not an expert, just following what I found in other posts. Can someone help me figure this out? Also, would using a USB WiFi dongle help me get back online so I can better troubleshoot?

Make sure your wireless card is still showing in the device manager. I’ve seen cases where it got disconnected. A USB WiFi dongle would definitely get you back online quickly if that’s a priority for you!

It’s still showing up as the Realtek 8852BE Wireless LAN Wi-Fi 6 PCI-E NIC. I thought a dongle might help me get online easier to download any drivers I need.

Sounds silly, but check if there’s a function key on your laptop that disables the WiFi. It's a common feature, especially if you accidentally hit it!

I don’t think there is one. I had the thought too, but it’s an Asus TUF Gaming A15.

I’m sorry to hear your WiFi is completely gone! That’s really frustrating. Have you checked if the WiFi icon is missing from your taskbar? Sometimes it just disappears and needs a quick fix.
