Why Is My New Windows PC So Slow?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my Windows PC. It's only a month old, but it's running extremely slowly—I can't even open the search bar or any applications. The only thing I can do is access settings through the right-click menu on the Windows icon. I also tried checking for updates, but I keep getting an error saying 'Something went wrong. Try to reopen settings later.' Restarting the PC didn't help, and I've looked in the task manager but didn't notice anything unusual. This has been going on for about two days now, and I'm at a loss for what to do next!

If the problem started just two days ago, think back to any changes you made right before that. Did you download anything or change settings? It could be related to a recent update or app you installed. Have you tried booting in safe mode to see if it performs better there?

It sounds like a tough situation! Since your PC is brand new, it might be a software issue. Have you installed any new programs or drivers recently? Sometimes these can cause conflicts that slow everything down. Also, check if there's enough RAM available—if something's hogging it, that could be your culprit.
