Is it time to upgrade my graphics card?

I'm considering whether I should upgrade my GPU. Right now, I have an RTX 4060, but I'm thinking about moving up to something like the 5070. Here's a quick rundown of my setup: I have an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, a 360 Liquid Cooler, a Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX motherboard, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a 2TB WD BLACK SSD, and a 750-watt MSI power supply in a Fractal Design case. I mainly use my PC for gaming and PC VR, playing titles like CS2, Spider-Man, and Cyberpunk, as well as modded VR games like Skyrim. My monitor is a 1440p OLED. With current GPU prices, is it worth upgrading now, or should I wait for the 60 series?

It really comes down to your needs. If you're happy with what the 4060 is providing, you might not need to rush into an upgrade. But if you're feeling like some games aren’t running how you’d like, then maybe consider the upgrade now—especially for those demanding VR mods you're into.

I do feel like I'm compromising on graphics settings sometimes, especially for those high-end mods.

Honestly, if you're looking for a performance boost and you have the budget, selling your 4060 to grab a 5070 would be a solid decision. The difference is noticeable, especially for the games you're playing.

What makes the 5070 worth it? Can you give me some specifics?

Remember that the RTX 5070 is significantly faster—about 80% better performance with 4GB more VRAM. This can really help with the modern titles at 1440p. If you have the finances, it could be a worthwhile upgrade for your gaming and VR experiences!

Would I be better off aiming for a 16GB card for future-proofing, especially with my Quest 3 and VR mods?
