I'm planning to upgrade my PC's GPU soon, moving from a 1070 to a 5060 ti, since my current GPU is starting to make weird noises and is quite outdated. The only component that hasn't been replaced since I built my PC around 2016 or 2017 is my power supply unit (PSU). I'm using a Corsair HX1200i, which I realize was overkill for my needs back then. Given this situation, how likely is it that my old PSU will cause problems after the upgrade? Would it be crazy to keep using it for a couple more years? I haven't noticed any signs of wear, and it seems to be running smoothly. However, I'm also concerned about the risk of it damaging my other components if it were to fail.

You’re perfectly fine! High-quality PSUs last a long time, and yours is still under warranty. Given its condition, you shouldn’t have to worry about performance issues for a while.
I just upgraded from a system with a similar setup. My old PSU from 2016 is still functioning well, and it wasn’t even that high-rated. Yours should serve you well!
It might be a good idea to consider a PSU replacement after your next upgrade just to be on the safe side, but it should hold up fine for now. Not much to worry about!
You're good to go! A high-quality PSU like yours can typically last for many years. Just keep an eye on it, but I wouldn’t stress about replacing it right now.
Honestly, your PSU is solid and I wouldn’t worry at all! Corsair makes great products, and the HX1200i is a high-quality PSU that should last a long time without issues.
