Hey everyone,
I have an RTX 3060 paired with a Ryzen 7 7700X, but I've been noticing that my GPU is holding back my CPU, especially when gaming at 2k resolution. I've come across the RTX 5070 Ti priced at around 1000€, which seems steep. On the flip side, I can get the RTX 5070 for 550€. I'm trying to figure out if spending the extra 450€ for the Ti is justified, or if the 5070 would be a smarter investment. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, especially regarding alternatives I might not have considered!
Thanks for sharing your insights, no matter how small they may seem!

I'd go with the 5070 for that price. It's perfectly fine for 1440p gaming. The 5070 Ti is more geared towards maxing out 1440p or even stepping into 4k territory, which may not be necessary for you right now.
If you’re planning on getting into VR gaming, the Ti could be a worthy investment. Just keep in mind it might not be necessary if you're mainly focused on traditional gaming.
The 5070 is a good upgrade from a 3060, and I wouldn't spend nearly double for the Ti unless you really need that higher performance for certain games or tasks.
If you're in Europe, look into the 9070 XT as well. The performance is comparable to the 5070 Ti, and it might be better priced in your area.
Honestly, the price hike for the 5070 Ti isn't worth it unless you absolutely need the extra VRAM for specific tasks. At the end of the day, the 5070 is a solid choice for your setup.
