Is it better to choose an 8GB or 12GB VRAM GPU for my build?

I'm considering upgrading my GPU and I'm torn between an 8GB VRAM option and a 12GB VRAM option. My current monitor has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and supports both 60Hz and 75Hz refresh rates. I'm running an Intel i7-10700F CPU, and right now, I'm using a GeForce GTX 1650. I have 16GB of Kingston RAM and a 400W power supply. Would choosing the 12GB GPU lead to any bottlenecking in my setup?

If you can spare the extra cash, definitely opt for the 12GB! Even some older titles like Hogwarts Legacy can exceed 8GB of VRAM at max settings, especially at 1080p with ray tracing. Just keep in mind, your power supply might need an upgrade too.

But does the monitor quality even matter? It's just HD, right?
