Why Do My AI Checker Results Differ When Checking My Paper vs. Individual Paragraphs?

I'm taking a 1000-level elective class which requires me to write a paper on a specific topic. Honestly, I've been too lazy to dig deep into research, so I used GPT to generate some bullet points that I could expand into paragraphs. While each paragraph is written by me, I noticed something weird: when I put the entire paper into an AI checker, it registers as 0% AI-written, but when I check the paragraphs individually, they come out at around 80-100% AI. Has anyone experienced this issue, and do you have any advice?

If you truly wrote it yourself, don't stress about the AI checker results. What's important is that the work reflects your thoughts and understanding.

What AI checker are you using? Different tools have different algorithms, which might explain the discrepancies you're seeing.

I'm trying Quillbot, Grammarly, and ZeroGPT.

Since you mentioned using ChatGPT, be careful. It might leave behind certain patterns or phrases. You could try rewriting your paragraphs for a more personal touch. By the way, what's your end goal for the assignment?

AI checkers can be hit or miss. It's best to assume they might give false positives. Just be prepared to defend your writing process if anyone questions it.

Honestly, just practice writing. The more you do it, the more natural your writing will become and you'll likely see better results with AI checkers.
