Should I Choose the RTX 5080 or the RTX 5070 Ti for My Gaming PC?

I'm putting together my first gaming PC and I'm considering whether to go for the RTX 5080 or stick with the RTX 5070 Ti for the GPU. While I know the RTX 5090 offers better performance, it's way out of my price range. I'm looking for advice on which GPU would be a better option for my build. Thanks in advance!

Totally! The 5080 is better for 4K gaming, and if that's your goal, it's the right pick. If you're not going for 4K resolution, the 5070 Ti is also a fantastic card that will serve you well.

It really comes down to your budget. If choosing the 5080 won't force you to compromise on other critical components, then it's worth it. But if it'll mean settling for a lesser CPU or monitor, I'd say skip it.

If you've got the cash to spare, definitely go for the 5080. But if you're sticking to a budget, the 5070 Ti is a solid choice, and you might want to invest any leftover money into other parts of your build.

When it comes to price-to-performance, the 5070 Ti actually holds its own better. Both cards can handle pretty much any game at 1440p, but if you're aiming for 4K, the 5080 is definitely the better option.

I got my RTX 5080 Founders Edition at MSRP recently, and I have to say, while it does offer a noticeable improvement for 4K gaming—about 15-20% better in the most demanding titles—it's not enormous. If you already have a decent card, like the 5070 Ti, you might find that the difference isn't life-changing. I'd recommend saving the extra cash or upgrading another part of your build instead.
