Help! My PC Keeps Turning Off – Could It Be a Short Circuit?

I've been building my first PC, and I'm running into a problem. When I try to power it on inside the case, the PSU clicks off and the whole system shuts down. However, when I set everything up outside the case, it worked just fine. I'm guessing there might be a short circuit happening. Can anyone share potential causes for this issue and tips on how I might track down the short circuit? I'd really appreciate any advice!

One common issue to check is the standoffs in your case. Sometimes, if there's an extra standoff that doesn’t align with your motherboard, it can cause a short circuit. Make sure every standoff is in the right spot and that there aren’t any extras touching the motherboard.

That’s a good point! I had a similar issue when I built mine. Just take a close look and double-check everything. It can save you a lot of headaches!
