Which Ryzen CPU Should I Choose for Gaming?

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new gaming PC and I'm trying to find the best CPU that fits my budget, ideally between 200-300€. I've been looking at several Ryzen CPUs, and honestly, they all seem quite similar in terms of specs and price. Here are the ones I'm considering:

- Ryzen 7 7700 and 7700X (around 260€)
- Ryzen 5 7600 and 7600X (about 200€)
- Ryzen 5 9600X (also around 200€)
- Ryzen 7 9700X (around 300€)
- And the Ryzen 5 7500F (a cheaper option at 150€)

Interestingly, the X versions seem only slightly better, like 2-5% in performance. From what I've gathered, the 9700X, while pricier, performs better at 1080p gaming, but when it comes to 1440p, they all seem to level out—except the 7500F, which falls behind a bit in newer games.

I'm aiming for a CPU that will last me at least five years, similar to a console's lifespan. I'm not entirely sure about the GPU I'll pair it with, but I'm looking at options like the 5060 Ti, 9060, 9070, or 7800 XT (though I know the 9060 isn't out yet). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I recently grabbed a Ryzen 7700 for CAD 210 from AliExpress. Honestly, the decision was pretty straightforward for me because I wanted a good balance of price and performance.

Where are you buying from? That can really affect your options and prices!
