I've been experiencing really slow internet speeds since I switched my WiFi from Converge to PLDT. I'm currently using a TP-Link WiFi dongle, but it's so slow that it's causing buffering during games, making it pretty much unusable. I live on the second floor, and the WiFi router is on the first floor. I tested the dongle with my laptop close to the router, and it worked fine, but once I'm in my room, it becomes extremely slow. Is there any way to fix this issue, or do I need to buy a new WiFi dongle? P.S. Sorry if my English isn't great!

Have you tried using a wired Ethernet connection? That could help a lot if the distance is too great for WiFi. But if that's not an option, you might want to consider getting a better dongle with a larger antenna. Also, powerline adapters could be a great way to bring Ethernet to your room through your electrical outlets. Mesh WiFi systems are another solid option if you want good coverage throughout the house. Don’t forget to check your router settings, too, just in case there’s a power restriction on the signal! What model of the TP-Link dongle are you using?
I checked the router settings, and I think the problem really is the WiFi. Thanks for your suggestions! I'll definitely consider the dongle upgrade.
