Hey everyone! I just turned 20 and finally have some money to spend. I'm curious about how much it would cost to build a decent gaming PC that can handle online games like Marvel Rivals or Cyberpunk. Should I consider building one or is it better to buy a pre-built system from places like Facebook Marketplace or Best Buy? Thanks in advance for the advice!

You can get a solid gaming PC for around $1,264.12 if you pick the right parts. For instance, you could go with an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X processor, a decent graphics card like an ASRock RX 9060 XT, and good quality RAM. Prices can vary, especially for RAM which is quite high right now, but this setup will give you a great balance for gaming without breaking the bank.

You can actually build a gaming PC for as low as $600, but that might mean skipping the graphics card for now. If you're focused on playing something resource-heavy like Cyberpunk, you should budget around $1,500 or more for a decent build. It's all about finding that balance based on what you want to play.

If you're willing to spend about $1,800, you can snag a really nice setup with newer components like an X 3-D processor and a 9070 XT graphics card. Just keep in mind that RAM prices are through the roof right now.

Expect to pay anywhere between $1,000 to $2,000 for a solid setup, depending on the quality of the parts. It’s definitely worth checking out Facebook Marketplace for some second-hand components to save some cash, especially if you're on a budget.
