I'm having a tough time getting Windows 11 installed. This is my second attempt, and everything seems to go well until the restart. Then I get a message saying, "We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x800742b)." I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions to resolve this issue!

Honestly, if you're moving from Windows 10 to 11, maybe consider just sticking with Windows 10 for now. I’ve heard a lot of people having trouble with updates in Windows 11, and there are some really solid Linux distros out there if you're feeling adventurous!
Just a shot in the dark, but I had similar errors back when Windows 10 released. Updating the BIOS helped me out. It might be worth looking into!
Have you checked your filesystem before starting the install? That could be a potential issue. If you're not sure how to do that, I can provide some steps!
Not to be harsh, but I've seen quite a few people say Windows 11 isn't all it's cracked up to be. You might want to stick with Windows 10 until they iron out some of the bugs in 11.
You might be missing a digit in that error code. It should have eight symbols after "0x." Check for the missing one, then do a quick web search for the full code to see if anyone else has run into this issue.
