Why Does My New PC Keep Restarting Randomly?

I recently built a PC from scratch about six days ago, and it has been restarting unexpectedly about four times without warning during this period. All the components are brand new and fully compatible. I've already run Memtest86 on the RAM, and it's working fine. Here are my specs:

- Intel i5-12600KF
- B760M-A D4 Motherboard
- RM850E Power Supply Unit
- 32GB DDR4 LPX RAM from Corsair
- RTX 3050 graphics card

I've monitored my system temperatures, and both the CPU and GPU perform excellently during stress tests. However, the restarts occur randomly when the system is idle or when I'm opening several apps. I'm looking for any help or insights into what might be causing this issue.

Check the Event Viewer around the times your PC restarted. It could give you clues. Also, ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest version. Double-check that all PSU cables are seated correctly. Even if your RAM passed the stress test, consider disabling XMP for a bit to see if that helps.

It might be your power supply that's faulty. I've had similar issues with a Corsair PSU before; switching it out fixed my problems. If you still have the option to exchange it, that could be a good next step.

Since you're getting GPU driver errors, you might want to completely uninstall your GPU drivers using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and then reinstall the Nvidia drivers. Was this a fresh install of Windows? You could also try testing with a spare power supply if possible. Lastly, make sure your power button connections are solid; you can even bypass it just to test.
