I've been running into some problems with Microsoft services and I'm wondering if it's just me. Specifically, I'm having to rebuild search indexes, and I'm seeing random emails that don't appear in my inbox until I search for them. Are others experiencing these same issues, or is it something unique to my setup?

Oh definitely, they're having issues across the board. Microsoft has acknowledged some server-side problems. Just hang in there; it should sort itself out soon.
Not just you! We've been seeing these 'ghost emails' where the search finds them, but they don't show up in the inbox view. Try a few troubleshooting steps: check OWA in a web browser, toggling Cached Exchange Mode in Outlook, or checking the Service Health in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Have you checked if it’s classic Outlook or new Outlook you're using?
I've noticed some weird behavior too! For example, in Outlook's classic mode, sometimes names don't show up in the auto-complete until you type the full email address. It's kind of frustrating how one person can be there one day and then someone else is missing the next.
