Help! My Opera Browser Says It’s Corrupted After a Crash

So, here's the deal: I was using my laptop with Opera GX when the screen suddenly went black and there was no sound, but the keyboard backlight stayed on. After I restarted my laptop, I tried to open Opera again, but I got an error message saying, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." I can access all my other apps without a hitch, but this particular browser just won't open. I'm not very tech-savvy, so any guidance would be super appreciated!

It sounds like there might be an issue with Opera's configuration files. One potential fix is to try deleting the configuration files so that Opera can create new ones when you open it again. You could look up the exact location for the configuration files on your system and delete them.

Have you run CHKDSK yet? It's a tool that can check for and repair disk errors. Just to be thorough, it seems you did the command 'chkdsk C: /f /r /x'. That's great, but if it didn't work, there might be deeper issues to consider.
