I've been struggling with my PC crashing, and I've just figured out that it's because my CPU is overheating. I've been dealing with this since I moved back in July, and I'm worried about how much damage I might have caused. Should I continue gaming until I can get a new cooler?
I usually game for long sessions, and I've only recently begun monitoring my CPU's temperature with a program recommended by some friends. I'm looking for a budget-friendly hybrid or water cooler because I'm tight on cash. Any recommendations?

It sounds like you need more info to get the best advice. Are you dealing with a low power CPU and a broken cooler, or is it high power with an underperforming cooler? Knowing the exact type of CPU and its current temp would really help! What are your numbers?

I agree with TechieTom, Thermalright is a solid choice. The Assassin 6 pipe cooler with 140mm fans has worked wonders for me. Just make sure you have good airflow in your case by having fans blowing both in and out to keep things cool.

First step is getting a good CPU cooler. I use the Be Quiet Shadow Rock LP which handles a 125W CPU well. Also, don't forget to get airflow moving in your case with a couple of extra fans.
I didn’t realize case airflow was that important! My CPU is 165W. Guess I should look into a more ventilated case too!
My bad for the lack of details! It's a high power 7800x3D, and I often see temperatures peaking at 91°C after gaming for about 3.5 hours, sometimes hitting 94°C without crashing.
