Best GPU/CPU Combo for Budget Gaming Build?

I'm venturing into my first PC build and want to get a decent budget setup. I'm mainly looking to run lighter games like Smite 2, Dota, and Rocket League smoothly, with the hope that I can also handle Call of Duty or Battlefield on low settings as a bonus. Based on my limited knowledge and research, I'm thinking about starting with an RX 7600 V2 GPU (£290) and an AMD Ryzen 5 5600XT CPU (£130). Do you think this is a solid choice, or should I be looking at alternatives or upgrades? For example, would the ASUS Prime GeForce RTX 5060 (8GB) (£360) and Ryzen 5 7600X (£170) be worth the extra cost? My budget is a priority, but I'm open to spending an additional £40 if it'll give me a significant boost in performance or future-proofing.

Be cautious about that £40 upgrade temptation! The Ryzen 7600X would require an expensive AM5 motherboard and DDR5 RAM, adding up to at least an extra £150. For the games you're targeting, the Ryzen 5600XT with the RX 7600 will easily crush them at 1080p. Save your money and stick with that combo!

Whew! I’m glad I asked. So, if I grab an MSI B650 G AM5 Motherboard (£130) or the ASUS ROG Strix B650E-E (£180), that just makes things more complicated, right? Would sticking to the 5600XT really help me save like £100 on the motherboard?
