Hey everyone! My HP Omen 880 p1xx is running low on storage, and I'm thinking of adding an extra 512GB internal SSD. However, I'm not sure which SSD would be the right choice or if it will be compatible with my PC. I noticed there are two latches on the front that seem to be for external drives, so I'm uncertain if there's a way to mount an SSD. I'm a bit nervous about doing any upgrades myself since I worry about possibly breaking something. Any advice would be appreciated!

Your HP Omen 880 has at least four SATA ports, which means you can definitely install a SATA SSD. If you can't find the right mounting hardware, you could just use double-sided tape to secure the SSD in place. Just make sure you have the following items: a SATA SSD, a SATA data cable, and a SATA power cable (which usually comes from your power supply with a flat connector). It's not as scary as it sounds—good luck!
Thanks for the details! I looked at my motherboard and spotted the two SATA ports you mentioned. I'll just grab a SATA SSD and cables. It's good to know I can tape it down if needed!
