Unexpected Surge in Microsoft Cloud Agents – How Do I Manage Them?

I just noticed that I suddenly have 143 agents in my Microsoft Cloud admin panel, which is a bit overwhelming. My usual user permissions allow me to enable or uninstall these newly added, externally-sourced agents, but this goes against my management standards. For now, I've disabled the non-Microsoft agents, keeping only one that I actually want to use. Can anyone guide me on how to configure this specific agent? Right now, I only see basic agent policies with checkboxes for custom, Microsoft, and non-Microsoft, but nothing that really helps with managing this situation. To make matters worse, I found no announcements or updates regarding this in the Microsoft 365 admin center's Message Center, which feels pretty careless. I might resort to PowerShell for mass disabling the non-Microsoft agents, but I'm concerned that this approach won't be sustainable if they keep adding new agents like this.

To manage the agents, head over to the Copilot tabs in the 365 admin. It's pretty straightforward from there, just like where you disabled non-Microsoft agents before.

I can relate to that! My count is also climbing way faster than expected. Have you tried contacting support for more info?

Wow, I just checked and mine shot up to almost 200! What is happening? This feels out of control.
