Hey everyone! I'm currently using an Asus ROG Strix laptop with a Ryzen 7 6800H and an RTX 3050, and while I can manage to play some games, I'm stuck on low settings for decent performance. I'm thinking about building a desktop PC that hits that sweet spot—not necessarily the top-tier components, but something that allows me to enjoy modern games at High or Ultra settings with around 100 FPS. I'm looking for recommendations on the best CPU and GPU combo to achieve this goal. Here's what you need to know:
- Current Monitor: 1080p
- Budget: $1000 - $2000
Any suggestions for a build that provides great price-to-performance for my gaming targets? Thanks in advance!

If you're aiming for solid performance, I'd recommend going with an RTX 4070. It has 12GB of VRAM, which is really key for gaming today.
For a great price-to-performance angle, consider the 9060XT or 9070. They’re solid options if you can swing the price.
I’m not too familiar with those cards. What's the difference compared to Nvidia's 9000 series?

Sounds good! What CPU are you pairing it with?
