Hey everyone! I tried to install Kubuntu on my computer, but I didn't use a USB drive for the installation. Instead, I created partitions and tried to install it directly. However, halfway through, I realized I preferred Ubuntu's aesthetics, so I attempted to install Ubuntu on top of my partially installed Kubuntu. I also deleted my Windows partitions because I was sure I wanted to stick with Kubuntu. Now my computer is completely unresponsive and won't boot at all. Any tips on how to boot from a USB drive would be greatly appreciated!

I'm curious, how did you partition without a USB? When you were in Kubuntu, running a command to install Ubuntu on top of it wouldn't really install it correctly. I mean, you probably weren't on the right track from the start if you were trying to install a package while booted into a live environment!
Do you have a USB installer for any Linux version or Windows? If so, just plug it in and reboot your computer. Enter the boot menu (usually by pressing a key like F12 or ESC right after powering on) and select your USB drive to start the installation process again.
If your USB is set up correctly, just connect it and turn on your computer. You might need to access BIOS to allow it to boot from USB. It's usually straightforward from there.
Sorry, but how exactly were you planning to install Kubuntu without a bootable medium? You're likely to run into issues without a USB or some bootable installer. There are other methods like using a DVD or network boot, but they can be complicated.
Make sure you have a bootable USB drive with Linux on it. Restart your PC, and as it powers up, hit the key to enter the BIOS setup (like DEL or F2). From there, change the boot order and set USB as the first option. Plug in your USB and save the changes. Your PC should boot from the USB!
