What’s the best GPU I can get for under $500?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some GPU recommendations. Here are my current specs: I've got a 9800X3D CPU, an 850W PSU, and I'm using an E-ATX case. Cooling isn't a concern, and I've got 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6000MHz. The games I usually play are Rust, Rainbow Six Siege, Counter-Strike 2, and The Finals. I typically game on competitive settings at 1080p, sometimes with a stretched resolution. My budget for a new GPU is $500 max, but I'd like to keep it as low as possible. Any suggestions?

What’s your budget looking like? I’d recommend looking for any modern GPU that has 8GB of video RAM or more; those should handle 1080p gaming nicely.

Maximum: $500. However, I'd like to keep it as low as possible.

How about the RTX 5070? It's around $549, which is a bit above your budget, but check local prices because sometimes you can find good deals.

It's more like 600-700 here for me. I'm really hoping to find something cheaper.

You could consider the 4070S or the 7700XT. Both are solid picks at that price point!

But what about the age-old debate: AMD or NVIDIA? I've heard NVIDIA drivers are way better than AMD's. Do NVIDIA cards struggle without DLSS and Frame Generation?
